Welcome
Our church has a family atmosphere. We have several multi-generational families, which helps to foster the sense of family. Sunday School is offered during the church service two or three times a month. Each Christmas Eve, for the last six years, the Sunday school has held a Christmas play during the candlelight service.
Mission giving is a priority for our church. We have sent offerings and aid packets for the hurricane victims and the tsunami victims. We sent donations to an Afghan refugee camp. We’ve also donated to Presbytery Point. We have an active Ladies Aid, which sends contributions to the Haven of Hope Shelter in Cambridge, Ohio. We have a commitment to the West Mackinac Food Pantry and donate with monthly offerings of paper products, toiletries and food items. When asked, we provide funeral lunches in town regardless of whether or not the funeral is for a church member. Even as we try to serve our community, the community also takes care of the church.
Stop and visit the next time you’re passing by Gould City. You will be welcome!
Gould City Community Presbyterian Church
Gould City
We are a small church yoked with Church of the Redeemer in Manistique. We share our minister, Al Valentine, with Redeemer. As the only church in the town, we consider ourselves a community church, with an open door for all in the area. We often have visitors who are camping, hunting or snow-mobiling in the area. One of our church’s strengths is the welcoming feeling in our congregation.
